UK Minister for Culture to Convene Meeting on Maccabi Tel Aviv Fan Ban
A police and crime commissioner from the West Midlands has requested an immediate reexamination of the decision to ban the Israeli team's supporters from attending the forthcoming match.
The commissioner, who oversees the force, explains that this request aims to verify whether the prohibition is appropriate, essential, warranted, sensible, and a proportionate step to achieve a legitimate aim.
"This should involve evaluation of every and any suitable, other choices," the official adds.
The commissioner has additionally asked to examine the official ruling and suggestion from the safety committee, as well as the police assessment.
