The British player made it to the third stage in three Grand Slam tournaments Grand Slam events during the season.

Emma Raducanu from Great Britain will not compete in her final two events this season because of a health issue she has been battling in recent days.

Raducanu, aged 22 was due to play in events in Asia but opted to return home to recover prior to beginning next year's training.

These plans are set to feature her coach Francisco Roig, as they will keep partnering again next season.

The tennis professional had her blood pressure taken in her opening round against Ann Li in the Wuhan tournament and stopped playing when trailing 6-1 4-1 on a very muggy occasion.

Another medical visit was necessary a visit from the doctor at the recent Ningbo Open, where she lost in three sets to Zhu Lin, a Chinese wildcard in round one.

She was also playing noticeably restricted in the final set versus Zhu because of a lower back issue that has been a concern on several occasions in 2025.

These outcomes meant an encouraging season, in which the player advanced into the world's top 30 for the first time since her previous ranking, ended with three successive defeats.

She held three match points prior to falling to American player Jessica Pegula in round three in the Beijing tournament last month.

She secured 28 victories in the current season and reached the semi-finals in Washington, but her most impressive week was at the Miami Open in March.

As Britain's top player advanced to the quarters of a premier WTA event, beating eighth seed Emma Navarro during the tournament prior to a loss in three sets to the world number four Pegula.

She was coached by trainer Mark Petchey from Miami until Wimbledon, with Roig taking over ahead of the US Open.

Raducanu told that her three-day trial with Roig post-Wimbledon was like a "covert operation" as the meeting was kept under wraps.

Roig was also with Raducanu in New York, where she advanced to round three prior to losing to Elena Rybakina, the 2022 Wimbledon winner.
