Mohamed Salah Extends Statement to Squad, Discloses Curtis Jones
The Liverpool midfielder has revealed that Salah apologised to the group of players following the controversy from his televised remarks.

“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, I apologise.’”

He emphasized that the squad's reaction stayed normal. “He was the exact same Mo, his demeanour was positive and we all treated him normally,” Jones added.
The midfielder also suggested that a player's desire to start is preferable. “I get that there are certain ways you can go about things,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just be on the bench, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”

“If passion has boiled over, it’s always been from a place of caring,” the midfielder stated. “We’re past that now and we’re gelling well as a team, getting results and on a positive run.”
